MEET GOSSIP
The world has been a little scary for Gossip, and she's still learning that she doesn't need to worry quite so much anymore.
When she first meets someone, Gossip can be shy and unsure. She likes to watch, take everything in and work out whether she's safe before letting her guard down.
But give her a day or two and something beautiful happens.
That worried girl begins to disappear, her tail starts wagging and out comes the sweet, happy and playful Gossip we've been lucky enough to get to know.
LIFE WITH GOSSIP
Other dogs are a huge source of confidence for Gossip.
She absolutely loves having a canine friend around and takes reassurance from watching another dog navigate the world. Because of this, we're looking for a home with a confident, suitable dog who can continue showing her that life isn't so scary.
Loud noises and unfamiliar situations can still make her nervous, so Gossip isn't looking for someone who'll push her into everything at once. She needs patience, consistency and positive experiences that allow her confidence to grow naturally.
GOSSIP'S PERFECT HOME
Gossip needs a quieter, patient home where she can settle in without too much pressure.
A confident doggy companion is important for her, along with secure fencing so she can safely explore her new surroundings.
We'd recommend no young children while Gossip continues building her confidence, and we'd prefer a home without cats as she hasn't been properly assessed with them.
And apparently we also need to add one rather unusual requirement...
No access to avocado orchards!
Gossip recently discovered that fallen green avocados make an excellent snack. Her stomach strongly disagreed, so her future home needs to keep her well away from them.
GOSSIP'S FUTURE
Gossip doesn't need someone to feel sorry for her.
She needs someone who understands that confidence isn't built overnight and that sometimes progress looks like a nervous dog choosing to take one tiny step closer.
