Meet Archer

Part cuddle buddy, part playful goofball and possibly the proud owner of a squeaky duck — Archer is shaping up to be someone's very best friend.
MEET ARCHER
Archer is a friendly, playful and curious boy with plenty of love to give. He's fully settled in foster care and has found a lovely balance between enjoying his adventures and curling up with his people afterwards. Pasted markdown
He's initially a little cautious in unfamiliar environments, but it doesn't take him long to settle. With people, Archer is friendly and relaxed - whether he's met you before or not.
LIFE WITH ARCHER
Archer enjoys around an hour of exercise each day, broken up with plenty of play, naps and, of course, couch time.
He's social and friendly with other dogs and can get excited when meeting someone new, but his approach is generally submissive and playful. He's also shown promise around cats. He's interested in them but is learning "leave it" well, so a confident, dog-savvy cat and careful introductions could potentially work. Pasted markdown
When it comes to entertainment, Archer isn't particularly fussy. A ball is excellent. His squeaky duck is even better. Apparently cat toys are also fair game, and he absolutely loves interactive play.
ARCHER'S PERFECT HOME
Archer would love a home that gives him the best of both worlds - opportunities to get out, walk, play and explore, followed by plenty of time hanging out with his people.
He's been around young children and has enjoyed their attention, although his puppy excitement will need to be considered around little ones. An older active household could also suit him, provided they're comfortable meeting his exercise needs.
An experienced dog owner would be ideal to continue building on the great foundations he already has.
A FEW THINGS TO KNOW
Archer is mostly toilet trained but can still have the occasional accident. He's learning his manners well and already knows sit, stay, wait, down and bed/place.
Recall still needs work, he can occasionally pull on lead and apparently he can have a stubborn streak. Thankfully, praise, food and toys go a long way toward convincing Archer that your idea was actually his idea all along.
He can also occasionally get car sick, so that's something his future family should be prepared for. Pasted markdown
ARCHER'S FUTURE
His foster describes Archer as happy, loyal and chill - and believes he's going to become someone's best friend. Pasted markdown
We think that sums him up pretty well.
The only warning?
Apparently it's extremely difficult to say no to that face.
