🐶 About Me
Hi, I’m Lilly 💜
I’m a playful, energetic and incredibly affectionate girl who has made excellent progress since coming into care.
My absolute favourite thing?
That’s a difficult choice between adventures and cuddles.
I love walks, swimming, fetch, exploring, training, playing with other dogs and zooming around outside. But once the fun is over, I’m equally happy snuggling beside you on the couch or climbing into bed for cuddles.
I’m still gaining confidence out in the world. New environments can make me slightly nervous, and busy places can feel overwhelming, but I do really well in quieter parks where I have space to relax, explore and play.
There is, however, one small detail we should probably discuss.
I am an opportunist.
And not in a “maybe I’ll wait and see if they offer me some” kind of way.
If food has been left on a bench, table or anywhere else within reach, I will investigate immediately.
Basically, there’s a very clever brain hiding behind all those licks and cuddles. 😂

Adults: Very friendly, social and affectionate
Kids: Best suited to older children because I’m strong and can be easily excitable
Dogs: I love playing with them! My supervised playdates have gone really well, although I can become overexcited both on and off lead
Cats: I have a high interest in cats and could only potentially live with a confident, genuinely dog-savvy cat following careful introductions
Livestock: Not tested
Strangers: Slightly cautious at first and best introduced calmly
Playdates: A big yes, especially in quieter, low-stimulation environments

Very high-energy and best suited to an active lifestyle
Currently enjoys a daily walk of around 20–40 minutes
Loves fetch, swimming, exploring and training
Favourite activities include playing with other dogs and zooming
Does best in quieter parks rather than busy environments
Loves snuggling on the couch or in bed
Needs a good balance of exercise, enrichment and quality cuddle time
🎓 My Training Journey
I’ve made excellent progress since coming into care and I’m a clever girl who learns new cues very quickly.
✔ Very comfortable in my crate
✔ Good recall most of the time in secure areas
✔ Knows sit, drop, leave it, wait and stay
✔ Knows crate, bed, shake and a toilet cue
✔ Motivated by food, praise and affection
✔ Gentle when taking food
I’m strong and don’t always realise just how strong I am. When I become excited around other dogs, I can pull, so my future family will need to continue helping me practise calmer greetings and better lead manners.
When left alone, I may have a little whine before settling. Like many clever, energetic dogs, I do best when I have suitable toys and enrichment to keep me occupied while I continue building my independence.
I’m also learning that gardens are for enjoying rather than rearranging, and anything left on a bench isn’t automatically being offered to me. 😂

I’m affectionate, playful, clever and full of enthusiasm, with an excellent willingness to learn and a whole lot of potential.
I’ll happily join you for walks, swimming and adventures, play with my doggy friends and then curl up beside you for cuddles once the day is done.
I do need a family prepared to continue my lead training, help build my confidence and provide sensible management when I’m home alone.
But if you’re looking for an active, loving companion with plenty of personality, and absolutely no understanding of her own size, I might just be your girl.
